The Relationship is the twenty-sixth and final episode of the first season of Australian children’s mockumentary television series Little Lunch.
Synopsis[]
Rory is bewildered when he finds out a grade six girl likes him & Debra-Jo can't understand why she feels so cross about it.
Plot[]
It all starts when Rory receives a note from a Grade Six girl, Georgia, asking to go out with him. He asks Atticus who suggests that Rory should be the opposite of Georgia, Battie proves to be quite unhelpful, Melanie suggests that they have to the same answers in a quiz in an I Am Girl magazine, and Tamara's efforts turn out to be absolutely pointless. Debra-Jo thinks of the idea of love as immature, and tries to convince Rory not to go out with her. Rory suggests that he should practice kiss one of the girls, Debra-Jo volunteers to kiss Rory on the hand on his cheek. His hand slips away, and Debra-Jo accidentally kisses him on the cheek. Georgia tells Rory that he's dropped. Some time later, at the Science Fair, Mrs Gonsha asks Rory about how opposites attract (referring to magnetism). Rory accidentally admits his love for Debra-Jo.
Notes[]
- When Melanie and Tamara are testing their invisible ink but Mrs Gonsha could read it clearly, it read "Ross loves Rachel". This could be a reference to the popular American show Friends where Ross and Rachel were having an on-off relationship.
